Emotional Regulation:

From Fear To Courage

Guided Meditations to Regulate Emotions

Through a blend of breathwork, meditation, and sound, our daily meditations lay the foundation for a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Your nervous system plays a crucial role in every aspect of your health and well-being. By focusing on emotional regulation, you can calm your body, elevate your mood, and strengthen resilience.

This leads to the idea that an important aspect of spiritual growth is growing your soul such that you are not simply controlled by your habitual and automatic emotional reaction to life. Those reactions get in the way of your growth, whereas our ability to emotionally regulate is an integral part of the maturing spiritual self. Positive growth indicators are the qualities and virtues that naturally emerge as a person develops spiritually and emotionally, such as growing in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

This is not to be confused with simply extra effort, for there is an inherent invitation for divine help in the process of spiritual care for one’s soul. On Jesus’ spiritual path, you’re given divine power for your inner-life.

Specifically in these meditations, you will be given the ability to understand, process, and relate to difficult emotions in constructive ways. Our meditations will take you through a path of emotional regulation, which consists of:

  1. Awareness of Emotions: Recognizing and naming feelings without judgment.
  2. Cognitive Reappraisal: Reframing negative emotions or experiences in a more positive or meaningful light.
  3. Impulse Control: Cultivating space within to pause in order to respond thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively.
  4. Emotional Expression: Allowing yourself to feel emotions in healthy ways that foster connection and resolution within so that you can connect with others.

These meditations will help you move through your emotions in such a way as to help the process of personal transformation aligned with one’s ultimate values and purpose.
